Please please please for a class assignment, I need you to tell me about the greatest accomplishment you have done with your hands!
Thanks!

  1. I braided a little girl's hair, packed her lunch, drove her to school and then stood back and watched for the next 12 years as she turned into you!

If my hands never do another thing, I will still feel so proud and fulfilled in my life. Your dad & I gave the world you, Jared & Bethany. No other accomplishment even comes close.

  2. I'm assuming that was your mom's comment above mine and I could never top hers...but I was just going to say one of mine was drawing of a self portrait of me for art class, along with many others drawing...but that one was the greatest accomplshment of them all! So...ten years later, mine is drawing a self portarit. hahaha

  3. Canadian Thanksgiving. From Scratch. For 14 hungry college students. :)

I hope my hands do their best work this summer in India.

  4. Good question! Hmm. My senior year, I used my hands to pass a baton off to my teammate in the 4x800m relay. We won the state championship and set a new school record. Granted, those accomplishments could be attribute more to our legs...but come to think of it, you can't run a 4x8 if you're a hands-amputee! :)

  5. When I think of big accomplishments I think of times I've changed people's lives for the better. I know that the life of one particular woman that I baptized has been COMPLETELY different than it would have been and she is so much happier. When I think about how my hands helped bring about those events which changed the course of her life, I see that as a great accomplishment.

  6. Hey! You have another blog! I'm glad your mom told us about it.

My hands have held two seconds-old baby boys, they have clasped the hands of the best man in the world over the altars of the temple, and each day they perform labors of love to keep those eternal relationships strong. Pretty good!
